“ This is a great place to eat breakfast and their Fajitas are our go to meal to share with the fam!! We go here every Sunday after church and sometimes during the week for dinner, our waiter Oscar is our go to guy but the other staff are always so nice!! Our family has been going there forever and we've really seen Larry's grow. When we have recently been coming in it has been packed with people and it really makes us proud of what they are doing!! Hope you love it just as much as we do and the local community!! ”
“ It doesn't look like much from the outside, or the inside for that matter, but the food is delicious and generous, wait staff friendly and prompt.its worth stopping by and getting a great lunch or dinner if enchiladas! ”
“ Larry's hasn't changed much since I dined there several years ago or really since I was a regular in the 70's. - it's a dump. It is a bit of a drive for me now. Had the best chicken enchiladas I have ever had and I make great enchiladas. My friends make enchiladas and the ones I had last night were better. Everything was fresh, properly seasoned and delicious as I remember. Good friendly service as expected. I asked the manager his secret. He said he just lets the ladies do their thing. ”
“ Larry's is the best Tex-Mex on the planet. The cheese enchiladas are the real deal. The service, ambiance & all the staff make Larry's a special place to dine. ”
“ This joint has been on my Tex-Mex bucket list for quite a while, if only because of the old-school spaghetti topped with chili. Indeed, Larry's mostly frozen in time, and that's a good thing! The chili was just a really good cumin-laden beefy concoction -- a fine example of what Tex-Mex chili con carne should taste and look like. The spaghetti, however, was among the most over-boiled pasta I've eaten since I was a Boy Scout trying to cook over a big-ass fire. Still, I wanted to say that I had it -- so I made sure that I ordered something that included it: the Special Dinner. This menu item also includes a sampling of several other Tex-Mex staples, which is what I prefer to order on my first visit to such places. Included with this plate is a firm tamale, which is buried beneath the spaghetti con chili. Outstanding. The rice is firm and dry, as it should be; the refried beans are par for the course. The crispy taco reminds of the 'Corpus Christi' version that I was raised on -- just simple fried corn tortillas filled with the traditional ground beef, lettuce and some grated cheese. (I asked them to hold the tomatoes.) The cheese enchilada is far from the best I've eaten, but the salty, gooey filling took me way back in time. Wonderful. The house salsa here is served cold, and it is as simple as it is delicious. Spicy. Smooth. An excellent accoutrement for the warm, crispy tortilla chips. This place is anything but upscale. The Formica table and tritely decorated dining room, however, are very comfortable. And the service, by the way, is equally old-school, which is a relief these days. I'm not sure that I have experienced a Tex-Mex restaurant that reminds me of my childhood as much as Larry's. ”
